What You'll Actually Learn

We've built this curriculum around six core areas that matter most when you're comparing companies in real market conditions. Each module tackles problems you'll face when working with actual business data.

01

Financial Statement Analysis

Read balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports like a professional. You'll learn what the numbers actually mean and how to spot patterns that matter.

02

Comparative Valuation Methods

Master ratio analysis, peer benchmarking, and industry comparison techniques. We focus on practical approaches used by working analysts every day.

03

Market Context Research

Understand how external factors affect company performance. Economic cycles, regulatory changes, and competitive dynamics all play their part.

04

Data Tools & Software

Get comfortable with Excel modeling, financial databases, and analysis platforms. Technical proficiency makes the difference between theory and practice.

05

Report Writing & Communication

Transform your analysis into clear, actionable reports. Learn how to present complex findings in ways that help decision-makers understand your recommendations.

06

Australian Market Focus

Work with ASX-listed companies and local market structures. Our case studies reflect the specific characteristics of the Australian business environment.

Real Projects With Actual Company Data

Theory only gets you so far. That's why we built the entire program around case studies using genuine financial statements from publicly traded companies. You'll spend time comparing retail chains, analyzing mining sector performance, and evaluating tech startups.

Each term includes a major project where you'll produce a full comparative analysis report. Past students have examined everything from banking sector consolidation to renewable energy company performance metrics.

  • Access to professional financial databases and research tools
  • Monthly workshops with practicing financial analysts
  • Peer review sessions to refine your analytical approach
  • Portfolio development for future career opportunities
